Highway 24 Vet clinic is a long time supporter of the Guelph Humane Society. Every year we provide free and discounted health care to animals waiting for adoption at the Humane Society. We are regular supporters of Duke's fund which supports animals in need. We also started a memorial fund for Judy Lacina, our dearly missed receptionist to also help animals that are in need of veterinary treatment.
To help overcrowding at the Guelph Humane Society we foster in cat(s) or kitten(s) looking for a new home. Drop by and see if there is a cat for you!
We are proud supporters of many community functions as well. From local school fundraisers to sponsoring musical events to the Eden Mills Carbon Neutral initiative.
In addition, Highway 24 supports both financially and in principle The O.V.C. Pet loss Support Hotline, The O.V.C. Pet Trust, and The O.V.M.A. Farley Foundation.
Highway 24 Veterinary Clinic is also involved in the Ontario Veterinary College's veterinary student internship program. In this program we provide additional clinical experience to final year Vet students.
Penny's Fund
Penny's fund was a fund our staff initiated in honour of our beloved clinic cat
Penny. Penny graced our front reception desk for nearly 17 years and in that
time despite her moody disposition she made many friends among staff and clients
alike. This fund is created through donations from our staff and clients. The
owners of our clinic, Dr.'s Brenda and Mary will match the donations dollar
for dollar! This fund is used in special circumstances to help needy animals
receive veterinary care that they need and may otherwise not get. Feel free
to make a donation to our donation box at the front reception desk.
