When you first arrive at the Highway 24 Veterinary Clinic you will be greeted by one our friendly receptionists. Our receptionists work very hard to coordinate the needs of our client and staff and are here to serve you and your pet. They will happily schedule appointments for you and help you with any general questions that you might have. We feel very thankful to have the unique combination of experience, dedication and education in our front office staff that we do.

Her horsey friend 'Rosie' lives at a barn just outside Guelph where Beth works part time to support her riding habit!
Allison, Receptionist
Allison joined our team in the summer of 2009 during our busiest time of year and seems to thrive on multi-tasking: meeting the needs of clients in the clinic and on the telephone, updating patient records and billing information, liaising with pharmacies and referral hospitals and assisting our technicians and veterinarians. Before joining us, she received her B.A. from the University of Guelph and gained experience with the Upper Credit Humane Society and another companion animal hospital. With the exception of her husband Darryl, Allison has adopted most of her family from the humane society: canines “Obi” and “Buddy Girl,” and felines “Mess” and “Tonka.”
Erica, Receptionist
Erica joined the team in september 2010. Prior to working in the clinic, she enjoyed a number of jobs working with animals large and small, from the

Dr. Mary Thompson, Veterinarian
Mary has been practicing at the Highway 24 Veterinary Clinic since 1995 and remembers the days at the old clinic running outside between the two buildings. Always an animal lover and following in her father's footsteps, becoming a veterinarian was an obvious choice for her. Mary graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1991. After a brief time in mixed animal practice, she turned her focus to small animal medicine with a special interest in eyes and internal medicine. Mary's enthusiasm and expertise continues to serve our patients well. Brenda and her family (husband Mike and daughters Sarah and Kate) enjoy running, playing hockey, canoeing and skiing in their spare time.
Dr. Mike Taylor, Veterinarian
This brave guy has the distinction of being the only man with enough courage to work with Highway 24’s otherwise all-female team. It probably comes a little more naturally to him, accustomed to being out-numbered at home by wife Brenda and daughters Kate and Sarah. Mike is yet another OVC ’91 graduate (it was a good year!) who brings with him extensive experience in critical care and emergency medicine and surgery. When Mike is not caring for animals, he can be found sharing his family’s love for outdoor activities, playing hockey or doing a little DIY (Mike modestly emphasizes little) around the house.
Dr. Diane Corlett, Veterinarian
Diane graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1983. After 25 years of veterinary practice ownership in Nova Scotia, she has returned to her home province of Ontario with a wealth of experience in companion animal care and special interests in veterinary chiropractic and acupuncture.
