At Highway 24, we realize that we need to have more than just a love for animals, because our patients almost always bring their owners too! We help people in a variety of ways:
We value their time. We appreciate how busy
people are, so at the clinic we schedule consultations by appointment
to reduce waiting time, but if an emergency arises we do what
is necessary to ensure that care is available.
We keep them posted. We issue reminders as annual
services are required--one less thing for our pets’ owners
to keep track of.
We give people the real scoop, not the poop. Most
people are bombarded with information from different sources,
information about pet foods, preventive health care for pets,
diseases and treatments. Our staff and veterinarians are here
to help pet owners sift through it all to discern what facts have
been validated by research, what theories have yet to be proved
and those that are completely unfounded.
We could tell people not to worry. But we
know they will. When
pets get sick or injured, their people worry. Having an in-house
laboratory allows most tests to be run the same day to reduce
waiting time and allow people to focus on helping their pets feel
better as soon as possible.
We listen. In addition to attending to their
pets’ health,
pet families need to consider the two-legged members of their
family, their time constraints, family budget and a need to manage
all of those aspects in a way that is best for them. Our staff
and veterinarians are here to listen to pet owners’ concerns,
discuss options and help make diagnostic and treatment plans with
their input.
You’re Invited. The headings at the top
of this page are invitations for people to learn about some of
the topics on which we are often consulted, while our “WHAT’S UP DOC?” page
is home to a growing library of pet health topics. Let us know
if there is a topic you would like to see there.
