Veterinary Assistant

Kayla Higginbottom

Kayla grew up in the country near Guelph and has always been a true animal lover. She graduated from the University of Guelph in 2020 with her BSc in Animal Biology with Dean's Honours. She spent 2 years gaining experience as a groomer while volunteering at Highway 24 Vet Clinic before moving into the role of a veterinary assistant. She hopes to soon attend the Ontario Veterinary College to pursue her dream of becoming a small animal surgeon. Kayla loves working with the animals in the clinic and learning from experienced technicians, vets and specialists at Highway 24. She hopes to one day become a knowledgeable veterinarian herself!
