Phovia Therapy

Phovia therapy is a surgery-free, drug-free, non‑invasive treatment that reduces inflammation, stimulates cellular regeneration, accelerates healing—and can also reduce antibiotic use.

Overview

Phovia uses fluorescent light energy (FLE): a chromophore gel is applied to the skin and activated for two minutes by a handheld blue LED lamp. The gel emits multi‑wavelength light that penetrates various skin layers—without causing damage—and induces photobiomodulation, helping to reduce pain and inflammation while creating a gentle, soothing warmth.

Why would my pet need Phovia therapy?

Phovia is used to:

  • Reduce swelling and inflammation

  • Alleviate pain

  • Speed up the healing process

Studies show skin lesions treated with Phovia and antibiotics heal up to twice as fast as antibiotics alone, shortening recovery time considerably. Conditions that respond well include:

  • Hot spots

  • Skin infections (superficial and deep pyoderma)

  • Surgical and bite wounds

  • Abrasions, burns, interdigital furunculosis, and other dermatologic lesions

Our system uses a modern, high-powered LED lamp that delivers therapeutic doses deeply and efficiently, making it ideal for chronic conditions—such as arthritis-related skin issues, post-surgical wound recovery, or persistent skin wounds—that often affect geriatric pets. Many animals regain normal or near-normal function, although some may require multiple sessions.

When should I consider Phovia therapy for my pet?

Phovia is suitable for various clinical scenarios, including:

  • Musculoskeletal pain (via improved skin recovery over joints)

  • Immunoregulation and reducing skin inflammation

  • Traumatic wound healing

  • Surgical wound healing

  • Enhancing metabolism and regeneration of specific tissues

Does Phovia help my pet’s skin issues?

Phovia is uniquely positioned as a leading dermatology treatment due to its ability to:

  • Deeply reduces inflammation and helps control bacterial overgrowth through its multi-wavelength fluorescent light energy system.

  • Accelerate healing of skin infections and lesions, such as:

    • Superficial & deep pyoderma

    • Interdigital furunculosis (pads), lick granulomas, hot spots, bite wounds

    • Perianal fistulae, abrasions, burns, and surgical openings.

  • Enhance quality of life: Clinical data shows most dogs reach full clinical resolution, and most owners report improved mood, sleep, and playtime.

  • Reduce caregiver burden by decreasing at-home treatment tasks (topical creams, medicated baths), improving compliance and outcomes.

  • Cut healing time in half when used alongside antibiotics, thanks to documented improvements in inflammatory marker reduction and collagen deposition in the skin.

In short, Phovia offers a safe, efficient, non-invasive solution that empowers both your pet and you, reducing the need for prolonged medications and bringing comfort and recovery faster.

How does Phovia therapy work?

Each treatment plan is tailored to your pet’s specific needs, with session length, frequency, and cost varying accordingly. Phovia can also enhance other treatments recommended by your vet.

Treatments are non-contact, painless, and quick—typically two minutes per application, performed once or twice per week. The LED lamp is held just above the gel-coated area, and both the pet and the operator wear safety goggles while the device automatically times the session.

Phovia can also be used to stimulate muscle and acupuncture points without needles, ensuring your pet remains as relaxed and comfortable as possible. Combined with our advanced equipment and progressive methods, we strive to customize every test, decision and treatment to help your pet manage its condition, recover effectively, and enjoy a happy, healthy life.
