Akshaya was born in Edmonton, Alberta and spent most of her life in the Middle East. She moved back to Canada in 2017 to pursue her life-long dream of becoming a veterinarian.  She received her Bachelor of Science in 2020 from the University of Guelph and graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College DVM program in 2024. Akshaya has a special interest in infectious disease, preventive care, surgery, and emergency medicine. As well, she is passionate about community health and outreach work. During her downtime, Akshaya enjoys running, playing volleyball, singing, crocheting and scuba diving in addition to taking care of her three dogs, Buddy, Bruno, and Barney. Akshaya is extremely thrilled to begin her clinical career at Highway 24 Veterinary Clinic!
