Mary became interested in veterinary medicine after spending numerous hours on farm calls with her father, also a veterinarian. She graduated from OVC in 1991 after 3 years of a honours Phys Ed degree at McMaster University. Mary has a special interest in eyes (ophthalmology) and loves the daily variety of her work. She also values meeting and developing lifelong relationships with people and their pets. She shares her life with her husband Dudley and children Sawyer and Atticus and cats ‘Shirakan’(AKA Connie) and Lord Kevin Plunder (AKA Kevin). Her hobbies include cross fit and reading.
