Kayla grew up in the country near Guelph and has always been a true animal lover. She graduated from the University of Guelph in 2020 with her BSc in Animal Biology with Dean's Honours and is currently attending the Ontario Veterinary College to complete a Master’s degree in Assisted Reproductive Biotechnologies. She spent 2 years gaining experience as a groomer while volunteering at Highway 24 Vet Clinic before moving into the role of a veterinary assistant, and eventually taking on the role of surgical assistant and head examination room assistant. Kayla loves working with the animals in the clinic and learning from our experienced technicians, vets and specialists at Highway 24. She hopes to soon attend the Ontario Veterinary College to pursue her veterinary degree and hop into surgery (as the surgeon) soon!
