Kayla grew up in the country near Guelph and has always been a true animal lover. She graduated from the University of Guelph in 2020 with a BSc in Animal Biology with Dean's Honours and again in 2022 with a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences specializing in Assisted Reproductive Biotechnologies and Regenerative Medicine. Kayla spent 2 years gaining experience as a groomer while volunteering at Highway 24 Vet Clinic before moving into the role of a veterinary assistant, and eventually taking on the role of surgical assistant, lead vet assistant, and working as a friendly face on reception. Kayla loves working with the animals in the clinic and learning from our experienced technicians, vets and specialists at Highway 24. She is currently attending the Ontario Veterinary College DVM program and is set to graduate in 2029 before hopping into the surgery suite (as the surgeon) very soon!
